Our Socials Suck, Álvaro Doesn’t

Abi

Preseason is a great opportunity for teams to get fans hyped for the upcoming season. New players, new formations, no new coaches (finally), new kits (February 15th), lots of new news. The social media content is ripe for the taking! This year The FC staff decided to go in a different direction than previous years, they’ve decided to do nothing. Okay, that’s not true, there is the occasional still photo of training and clips of preseason matches that lead to the inevitable video of a player, dead eyed, saying how exciting it was to play and that they can’t wait for the season to start. Riveting stuff.

Let’s be honest, we all know why our socials have shit the bed. It would seem the front office is yet to hand over the Twitter keys to anyone capable of producing fun, endearing, feel good, player content. I came out of retirement from the one article I’ve ever written to give the people what they need: The top ten most adorable pictures of Álvaro Barreal
