We are passionate about delivering high-quality content to fans, keeping them informed and engaged with the latest news, analysis, and insights into their favorite soccer team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team for a summer internship opportunity. As an intern at The Post Cincy, you will have the exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of sports journalism and social media management, gaining hands-on experience in covering FC Cincinnati while contributing to our growing online presence.
Responsibilities:
Write engaging articles and opinion pieces covering FC Cincinnati and related topics.
Curate and manage social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) to promote articles, interact with followers, and drive engagement.
Assist in developing creative content ideas for various digital platforms.
Conduct research and interviews to gather information for articles and features.
Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content is accurate, timely, and aligned with the company's editorial standards.
Monitor trends and developments in the soccer world, particularly as they relate to FC Cincinnati, and propose content ideas accordingly.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a college/university program, preferably in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and experience in managing social media accounts for business or personal use.
Passion for sports, particularly soccer, and a willingness to learn about FC Cincinnati.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Located in Cincinnati preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in sports journalism, blogging, or content creation.
Basic knowledge of SEO principles and digital marketing strategies.
Proficiency in photography, videography, or graphic design is a plus but not required.
