Within an hour of the announcement that a group of former FC Cincinnati players were participating in a 7v7 tournament in Cary, North Carolina I was looking up flights. As a true FC fan, I will go to my grave clutching the sweet, sweet, memories of our USL salad days. I also really needed a vacation and the timing was perfect. If you know me you know Mom is my soccer ride or die, she was all in. From June 1-4th we spent our days watching dozens of soccer games, drinking Aperol Spritz, and getting cooked in the sun. Here are some highlights of the weekend brought to you by me, a credentialed soccer journalist.
